Advising
To make an appointment for advising, go to the online appointment system.
DO NOT phone or email to make an advising appointment unless you are not currently enrolled. Currently enrolled students must use the online appointment system. If there are no open appointments showing on the system, check back later in the afternoon to see if the next day's appointments have been opened up.

Majors: Walk-in hours are for quick questions only and are limited to five minutes. History majors may NOT pick up graduation packets during walk-in hours. You MUST make an appointment with Patrick Tally to talk specifically about graduation.
Minors: Because you cannot make an appointment, you must see Dan Sturgis during his walk-in hours. (See above for times). Minors may use walk-in hours to declare the minor, for general questions about the minor, or to pick up a Minor Completion Form for graduation. Patrick Tally no longer does minor advising.
To declare History as your major, additional major, or minor:
Students must attend a History major meeting to declare the major. They are all held in Hellems 220 and last 50 minutes to an hour.
Students can sign up for an advising meeting online.
Click on the “Change my Major Meeting” button and then choose History form the pull-down menu.
Major meetings are not offered during the Summer Session due to Orientation commitments.
If you are already a History major and wish to add a second major or to change to a different major, please sign up for a meeting or individual appointment. To do so, follow the above procedure except you will need to choose the other major and NOT History from the dropdown list.
